Nordmann
The Nordmann fir is a top-of-the-line tree without a shadow of a doubt. This tree, our best seller, accounts for about 70% of all sales in Europe. Its ample foliage is dark green and glossy. A special feature is its superior needle retention and it does not prick. Branching possible.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted or with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes.
Norway spruce
This is the traditional fir tree found in the Ardennes region. This fast-growing tree (4 to 6 years) is suitable for a harsh and wet climate. This robust tree’s ample foliage is a pure green colour. It loses its leaves but has a lovely fragrance. As the spruce does not require a lot of attention we are able to offer it at a very reasonable price.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted and with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes. We can supply them in large sizes (up to 12 m) for cities and towns.
Fraser tree
We started producing Fraser firs 10 years ago. A native of the United States this evergreen tree has a dark green and shiny foliage with a silvery sheen. It is now a fine alternative: in between the time-honoured Christmas tree and the other fir trees. This fast-growing tree needs to be pruned at regular intervals in order to produce a top-quality Christmas tree.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted or with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes.
Noble fir
“Noble fir” belonging to the same family as the nordmann, this tree, too, is an evergreen species with a delicious fragrance to enhance the Christmas atmosphere. The branches are also used for floral and Christmas decorations. Owing to its delicate growing conditions and limited production, this Christmas tree is highly prized by enthusiasts in the know. It has a splendid silvery blue appearance.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted or with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes.
Serbian spruce
This Christmas tree is a member of the same family as the traditional Norway spruce but stands apart from this tree because of its more slender appearance and more silver-coloured needles. Thanks to the tree’s reaction to the various pruning operations we are able to offer a dense and bulky item that is both elegant and original. Available potted or root-balled this Christmas tree can easily be replanted, so is much appreciated by garden centres, which offer the tree as ornamental conifer trees for parks and gardens.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted or with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes.
Blue spruce
Belonging to the spruce family, this Christmas tree, which is extremely popular in Germany, is recognisable by its bluish-grey foliage, fairly stiff branches and prickly needles. It is invariably provided with netting, whether supplied cut, root-balled or in a container. A special selection into designated plots allows identification of trees with intensely blue foliage which are highly prized in top-of-the-range garden centres. Its slightly longer growing period requiring more attention and care makes the tree more expensive than the Norway spruce or Serbian spruce.
It is provided : cut, potted, balled, re-potted, or with exposed roots. All kinds of packaging formats and all sizes.
Our packaging formats
Our company has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of Christmas trees in Europe. Always attentive to our customers and concerned about their satisfaction, Altitude 500 group does everything possible to guarantee high quality products and impeccable service.
BULK
This packaging format is more often used by our customers such as garden centres, associations, …. Netted or otherwise, trees may be carried in all kinds of vehicles : lorries, trailers, vans,….
The inconvenience with this packaging format is that the loading time is generally longer.
PALETTE
This is definitely the packaging format most widely used by Altitude 500. The palettes we deploy are 260 x 120 x 240 (cut firs) and 220 x 120 x 240 (potted and root-balled firs). A lorry can carry 10 of them.
This system means more trees can be stocked without any damage and the loading time is very short. The loading machines in our loading bays allow several loading operations to be completed at the same time.
BOX PALETTE
The advantage of this packaging format is its appearance meaning it can be placed straight away in the stores but the system is less popular owing to its higher cost.
CC TROLLEYS
These wheeled metal boxes are mainly used by the distribution chains. They are easy to bring to the unloading bays.
